Your Beautiful Purpose: A Review
We all have within us the knowledge that God has us on earth for a reason. That reason is different for each person, but it is of equal importance to God. However, many times in the path toward this purpose, God has a step-by-step process designed to enable and equip us for whatever service He has planned for us.
It is through the times of refining that God teaches us the virtue of waiting on Him, because it is through patience that we learn to see God for who He is and experience His beautiful presence in our lives.
In Your Beautiful Purpose, Susie Larson explores the stages God uses in our lives to bring to fruition the purpose He has for us. She has divided the book into six sections:
- Embrace Your Purpose
- Trust God’s Timing
- Hear God’s Voice
- Believe God’s Word
- Walk by Faith
- Take New Territory
Using personal stories to illustrate each stage of this journey, Susie is able to identify with the struggles which come with moving toward the purpose God had in mind. I loved her style and found it to be inviting and easy to read.
Included in this book is a six-week study which can be done individually and in a group. If you so desire, you can purchase the DVD set to go along with the study.

Seems like a really great book to help the Christian draw closer to God. I have found that, indeed, the spiritual journey towards understanding and revelation requires great patience. I’ve learned that via trial and error!
I agree, Jessica. Patience and waiting on God can sometimes be the most difficult aspects of moving forward.
I LOVE Susie Larson. I heard her speak at a Moody Conference. I especially was impacted by her book “The Uncommon Woman” – so much so that I taught a woman’s class on the book at our church. I am surprised that I haven’t heard any interviews or anything yet on this book. So, thanks for the review. I’d definitely like to read it.
I’m glad you enjoyed it, Peggi! This was actually the first book I read by Susie Larson. I’ll have to read more!
Outstanding review of Susan Larsen’s Book, “Your Beautiful Purpose.” I am spiritual, rather than religious. This review makes me want to read the book to enhance my personal knowledge. In my spiritual pursuit, I stay away from Bible-Thumping, in favor of being an intellectual follower of what is Good and what is from God.
Thank you.
Thank you, Daron! I’m not real crazy about Bible thumping, either. I know you’ll enjoy this book!
