My God-Sized Dream: A Book

My God-sized dream began about four years ago.

A friend of mine told me once that she thought I should write a book. I said that would NEVER happen.

Be careful what you say! God may just have those exact plans for you.

And he did. He used the words from my friend to plant the seed for the idea of a book on the fruit of the Spirit.

This is the biggest project I’ve ever taken on. But, it has been one of the most rewarding.

I am finished with the writing stage and am anticipating that the editing process will begin within the next couple of weeks. I’m hoping that by the summer it will be available for purchase.

I have found that love is the deciding factor in the fruit of the Spirit. Because of this, my running title is Love’s Thread Runs Through It: An Indepth Look at the Fruit of the Spirit.

I would love to have your thoughts on the title. Does it grab you? Make you want to read it?  Or would you rather pass it by?

My God sized dream is to write a book as well. I want the basis of mine to be my testimony of how Jesus found me when I was lost and made things right over and over.

I am intrigued by the title of your book and would want to know more.

Well, stay tuned, Leelee! As the time approaches, I will be including sample chapters, contests, and other things on my blog. I hope to see you!

If God has put this dream in your heart, then go for it! It’s an awesome thing to complete something he has called me to do.

  2. Hello there, fellow God-sized dreamer! I recently re-discovered the fruits of the spirit and memorized the verse. I just love it, and I think it’s wonderful you’ve focused on that for your book, and that you actually have a completed draft! Congratulations. As for the title, why not use a food or fruit metaphor, instead of a fabric (love’s thread) one? Something to do with tasting or feasting or savoring?

  3. Jennifer, I immediately thought of the film, “A River Runs Through It” . . . Maybe, “Love’s River Runs Through It”? Just an idea.
So excited and happy for you as you begin the next stage of this writing journey. Know I will be first in line to order your book, my friend!
    Blessings to you!

And as always, your words are such an encouragement to me, Martha! Thank you for the title idea! Will definitely keep it in my basket of concepts!

      God bless you!

  4. Yippee!! I’m so excited for your GOD-SIZED dream!!! Thrilled to journey alongside you.
    Blessings…
